The Future Landscapes Collection
Marimekko’s Future Landscapes collection for fall/winter 2021 reflects one of our most prevalent sources of inspiration: nature and its ever-changing landscapes. This season and beyond, our focus is on the essential, the functional, the timeless and the sustainable.
The winter night florals
It’s time to get set for the season of winter celebrations! The most dramatic florals blossom in black. No featuring the black-on-black Unikko (poppy) print, the minimalistic Helmililja kaftan dress design was inspired by Marimekko’s archives.
Go for gold
This festive season, Unikko also glows in gold. An A-line dress, a beautiful top, a relaxed t-shirt, and an eye-catching cotton canvas bag – pick your favorite. The Karla bag with a gold-toned chain strap puts the final touch on any attire.
Getting cozy in style
The season’s relaxed styles bring us bold prints, minimalistic silhouettes, and gentle knits – all perfect for cold-season layering. The collection’s puffy and fluffy coats speak to sustainable values: the materials are recycled and responsibly sourced.
Our symbol of creativity, the 1964 Unikko (poppy) print by Maija Isola, belongs to ever-blossoming icons. Maisema-Unikko (landscape poppy) is a new, collaborative print hand-painted in Marimekko’s printing factory by Maija Isola’s granddaughter, Emma Isola, together with Marimekko’s design team.
Let nature reinvent your wardrobe
Marimekko’s design language has always been synonymous with empowerment. Strong like nature itself, it allows you to immerse in nature’s elegance without compromising on practicality. Channeling your femininity in a statement dress is a worthy source of power in its own right.
